Linda is an executive level consultant with over 25+ years of diverse experience in clinical operations, portfolio and project management, healthcare technology, program development and process improvement. Many consulting engagements have involved change management and group facilitation with very diverse stakeholders, in collaboration with executive leadership. Her previous senior level positions with healthcare providers and technology vendors also inform her comprehensive approach to addressing current challenges in providing high quality equitable services.

Linda has been a full time consultant for over 20 years. Prior to consulting, Linda held senior leadership positions with healthcare providers, healthcare technology and device vendors and start-up internet firms. She also has very diverse clinical nursing experience at the University of WA Medical Center and ambulatory experience with other providers.
She has been published, interviewed and profiled in national publications such as Modern Healthcare and Healthcare Technology Management and for clinical case studies.
Linda has been a sought after speaker at regional and national venues such as the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), Institute of Industrial Engineers/Society For Health Systems, Case Management Association of America (CMSA), National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), the University of WA, non-profits and other executive events.

noted accomplishments

  • Work with WA State executive leadership was at the forefront of efforts to transform various agency health and human services programs statewide. Several involved partnerships, collaboration with broad stakeholder groups, strategic planning, and organizational change management. Several programs/systems are now live.
  • Led team for comprehensive ICD-10 Readiness Assessment and Implementation Planning initiative, covering the eight entities within UW Medicine. Oversaw various sub-teams and identified several areas of technical, financial, clinical, operational, and policy-related risk which led to a successful transition to the new coding system.
  • Oversaw initiation of a multi-year portfolio of 17 sub-projects, with a goal of achieving better population health, better-coordinated care, and lower costs in WA State. Collaborated with the WA State Medicaid Director, WA State Dept. of Health, community partners and state executive leadership. Addressed governance structure. Programs are now live.
  • Cutover Manager for major multi-hospital Epic system deployment, coordinating efforts across 20+ project teams, diverse operations staff, executive management, vendor staff, and project leadership. System now live in 8 hospitals & associated clinics across the health system.
  • Served on the national executive Board for the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the premier healthcare technology and systems association in country, during time of significant growth and global expansion. Led several task forces.
  • Asked to serve on the Univ of WA Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE) Executive Advisory Board and received the 2018 ISE Department Distinguished Alumni Award for program service
